The Grounds

 

When Windsor Green was created over 50 years ago, there was an emphasis placed on green space and natural beauty. Every inch of the 34 acres was moved to create the ponds, hills, and courtyards that you see today. Miles of walking paths were then placed between the homes so that our residents could walk and enjoy the now, 50+ year old trees that grow tall around Windsor Green.

 

For our residents enjoyment, our amenities are tucked in among the homes and green spaces and offer an experience that can't be had in a concrete forest. Two pools, a basketball and tennis court, and playground equipment are just a few of the ways you can take advantage of what Windsor Green has to offer. 

 

There is a difference between having trees or bushes and having a habitat that animals will choose to call home. Swans, geese, ducks, turtles, and cranes frequent our ponds and lakes. Also, walk around Windsor Green for a while, and you will see most every animal that is common in our district parks!

 

Windsor Green has a professional/fulltime, maintenance and grounds crew. They are responsible for our acres of lawn care, snow removal, repair of walking paths and shared amenities. Thanks to their hard work and our volunteer landscaping committee, Windsor Green stays beautiful and maintained all year around.
